What the app is, and what it is not

FLSD Training by Impulsa Lab is independent study material for the FDNY Fire and Life Safety Director (F-89) exams. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the FDNY or the City of New York.

The questions and the coach texts are our own, written from the official FDNY study material, and each one cites its source. They were prepared with the help of artificial intelligence and may contain errors: the official FDNY material always prevails. Check the latest version on the FDNY website.

Using the app does not guarantee that you will pass any exam.

Your use

Access is personal and non-transferable. You may not copy, scrape, resell or republish the question bank or the texts of the app.

You sign in with your Google account and you are responsible for what happens with it. Do not share your access: if we see one account used to copy the bank or shared among many people, we may suspend it.

The building sheet you fill in on the On-site stages stays only on your device. Do not share screenshots of it: it describes the safety systems of a real building.

The building names that appear in the app (for example, in the building selector) are only there so you can find yours. The app is not affiliated with any of those buildings or their owners or managers.

Price and access

Part of the app is free, with or without an account. Full access is a single payment of US$20 for 6 months, not a subscription and with no automatic renewal. If you buy again while your access is active, the 6 months are added from the date your current access ends. The price shown at checkout prevails.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your access is tied to the Google account you used to buy it and starts when Stripe confirms the payment.

Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Impulsa Lab LLC is not liable for indirect damages or for decisions made during a real emergency based on the app. In an emergency, follow your building's plan and the instructions of the FDNY and the authorities.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version and date appear below. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
